Dispute or Appeal a Parking Violation

If you believe you were issued a parking violation notice by mistake, please read the following information and then click the link below to start the appeals process. It only takes a few minutes, and we’re happy to review the situation to see if an error has been made.

Unfortunately, we are unable to discuss individual parking notices over the phone and must receive the written request to in order review the violation.

If your appeal is unsuccessful and the ticket is upheld, a $15 fee may be added to the original ticket amount. This is a precautionary measure to ensure the appeal process is used responsibly.

You can appeal a parking ticket for the following reasons:

  • The license plate information was entered incorrectly when purchasing parking
  • Payment was made and a parking notice was issued in error
  • The notice was issued to the wrong license plate
  • A duplicate notice was inadvertently issued for the same incident

Reviews cannot be submitted for any of the following reasons:

  • You didn’t see the sign
  • You forgot to pay
  • You only parked in the location for a short time
  • Other cars were parked there
  • There was nowhere else to park
  • You didn’t know you couldn’t park in the lot
  • You can’t afford to pay the amount
  • You have never had a notice before
  • You’re from out of town
  • You were in a hurry / late

We accept appeals up to ten days after they have been issued. Processing appeals can take up to 30 days, and we’ll send the results of the appeal process to the address you provide (please keep an eye on your spam filter!).

Violation payments are non-refundable, so don’t pay the violation until you have received a response to your appeal. Parking violation notices don’t escalate in price while under appeal and will remain at the original amount.

Please include the Notice Number, Licence Plate Number, and the reason for disputing.
